Due to the variety of farms, greenhouses, research and educational gardens on the Borujerd road, Animal Science (Bioscience) farms, educational and research vineyards, and the orchard, this deputy was formed to monitor the mentioned cases in coordination with the educational departments of the faculty in order to meet the organizational needs and follow up the development.
1. Nursery: With dimensions of 750 square meters, it is suitable for planting seeds of fruitful and non-fruitful trees. The training farm can be used as a botanical garden for planting seasonal flowers, grass and ornamental shrubs and medicinal plants.
2. Research Vineyards: This group has two vineyards with the following specifications:
A) Vineyard No. 1 with an area of 4200 square meters and 220 original fertile vines: the vineyards of this garden have been cultivated under four different breeding systems, including pergola, semi-pergola, T and Y.
B) Vineyard No. 2 with an area of 3600 square meters and 150 vines: The vines of this garden are of different varieties of domestic and foreign grapes which are creepers and are irritated under a combination of irritation canal and drop irritation system.
3. Temperate Fruit Research Garden (Fadak Garden): the garden has 700 trees with seeded fruit, including apples, pears, and quinces, and trees with stone fruit (drupes), including plums, peaches and nectarines, cherry, apricot, and almonds.
4. Greenhouse, cold frame gardening and canopy: This greenhouse with dimensions of 3000 square meters includes 5 units. Two of them are educational (for Landscape Engineering students and basic horticulture courses) and the other two are research units (related to soil science, plant production and genetics, animal sciences, Landscape Engineering and other applicants from other faculties) along with a cold frame gardening. The greenhouse is equipped with a mist system and underfloor heating. It has a variety of apartment flowers, cacti, and ornamental shrubs of tropical climates. The cold frame gardening and canopy are located in the greenhouse in approximately 50 square meters for research affairs.
5. Garden and the Research Farm of the Agricultural Sciences Faculty( Sourori Garden): this garden is located in 25 km from Malayer-Borujerd road on a land with an area of about 22 hectares located on the east side of the road, between the lands of Kahakdan and Chaghaei villages. The amount of vegetation of this property includes 1100 almond trees, 132 walnut trees, 150 pistachio trees and several pear trees, apricots, hawthorn, plum, Tabrizi, sycamore, etc. And 15 hectares of the property is agricultural land that is prone to planting wheat, barley, peas, potatoes, sugar beets. In addition to producing crops, this garden has good potential for the production of medicinal plants. Due to the location of this garden, part of it can be used for tourism purposes with the necessary investments.
