The group's laboratories currently include the Laboratory of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Plant and Animal Physiology, Herbarium, Dark Room, and Cell Cultivation Room. Over time, as the educational and research space increases, more specialized laboratories will be added.
Laboratory of Microbiology and Biotechnology:
This laboratory is located on the third floor of the Faculty of Basic Sciences and is a subset of the Biology Department. The educational and training services can be provided with the cooperation of experts in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology and the presence of a senior expert. And in this regard, we can mention the provision of basic, medical, industrial, viral, and molecular microbiology laboratory courses for undergraduate students in the fields of Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Plant Sciences. By taking these courses, students will be able to acquire skills in microbiology, classical genetics, cytology, various types of extraction of DNA and RNA, and PCR, RT-PCR, and cDNA synthesis, according to the courses that are passed. This laboratory uses facilities such as types of centrifuges (normal and high-speed), autoclave, water distiller, Laboratory water bath, microscope, types of measuring and analysis devices such as Spectrophotometry, Thermocycler, scales with different measures, Elisa Reader, pH meter, Microfusion and temperature and humidity storage devices for the growth of microorganisms, including Dry Heat (French: Four), Laminar hoods, Incubator, Incubator Shaker, and many other basic standard devices help the undergraduate and graduate students develop their science projects.
Biochemistry, Plant and Animal Physiology Laboratory:
This laboratory is located on the third floor of the Faculty of Basic Sciences and is a subset of the Biology Department. Educational services can be provided with the cooperation of experts in the field of Plant and Animal Biology and the presence of a senior expert. In this regard, we can mention the presentation of laboratory courses related to Plant Sciences and Physiology, Plant Systematics, Animal Sciences and Physiology for the undergraduate students in the fields of Botany, Biotechnology and Microbiology. By obtaining the mentioned units, students will be able to acquire skills in the field of familiarity and mastery of plant and animal classifications, and cell and tissue culture, according to their passed courses. This laboratory is equipped with a microscope, a Hematocrit counting device, a Spirometry device, a Microtome, Dry Heat (French: Four), human body moulages, a hood, a refrigerator, a serology water bath, etc.
