Saturday 12/31/2011 Official Declaration of Malayer University on the Occasion of 9th of Day Demonstration

The Islamic revolution of Iran faced a lot of events and difficulties after its victory in 1979. But what astonishes analysts after three decades is the stability and power of the revolution. The Islamic Republic of Iran is today considered as a powerful and dynamic system.

On December 30, 2009, millions of people came to the streets of Tehran and other Iranian cities to show their anger over sacrilegious acts committed on Ashura day (December 27, 2009) in the follow-up to the post-election unrest. It was a day when the massive rallies against the seditious movements came to be known as the 9th of Day demonstration.

Definitely, what led to the formation of such a great event were the perfect prudence, patience and insight of the Supreme Leader in confronting this conflict. "Velayat-e Faqih" is the vital core of the Islamic revolution. Since the beginning of the revolution, the Leader, through his vigilance and bright vision, has always safeguarded the Islamic Republic of Iran against all the internal and external threats.

The Iranian nation’s grand epic of December 30, 2009 in which millions of people hoisted the banner of loyalty to the Islamic Republic, to the Leader and to the revolution displayed the most beautiful form of religious insight and confirmed the Islamic Republic's immunity to all foreign invasions. This magnificent turn-out proved that in a truly religious government people always play an important and effective role.

The enthusiastic movement of millions of Iranians across the country was a validation of Iranians allegiance to the Supreme Leader sending a clear message to the enemies. Therefore, December 30 could be considered as an important day in Iran’s contemporary history.

Just as people’s rise to action during the 8-year imposed war defeated the enemies, the December 30 response in the same way, isolated Iran’s domestic enemies backed by so-called great powers of the World.

During the post election events, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei managed the revolution in the best possible way and disclosed the real intention of enemy to the people. The leader clearly separated the truth from falsehood. Meanwhile, the enemy who tried to undermine the role of leadership in controlling the crisis realized that the status of "Velayat-e Faqih" is very lofty and powerful among the Muslim people of Iran so much so that it can nullify all plots. The Islamic Republic of Iran is undeniably a popular system in which the participation of people is praiseworthy.

We, as academic and administrative staff and students of Malayer University, celebrating the anniversary of “9th of Day demonstration” declare that we still adhere to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, to the blood of their martyrs and we are willing to sacrifice our lives for Islam.
