The Department started its activities in 2000 by obtaining a license and accepting students in the field of Environmental Technology. Then in 2007, it succeeded in admitting students in the fields of Bachelor of Natural Resources Engineering-Environment, Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Engineering-Environment and also Bachelor of Environmental Pollution. Then, in 2010, the Department succeeded in accepting students for a master's degree, and finally, this growing trend was completed in 2011 by obtaining a license to present a doctoral degree. Currently, the Department has 420 undergraduate students, 45 graduate students, and 3 doctoral students.
