• Secretary of the meeting of the University Research Council and preparation and compilation of council resolutions.
• Arranging university research programs in the form of approved policies and guidelines
• Deciding on research programs and giving amendments to the relevant authorities
• Interpreting the policies set out in the research and providing the necessary guidance to the relevant units
• Preparation of necessary reports for presenting in the research council
• Deciding on research programs.
• Commenting on university research credits
• Carrying out the necessary studies to know the research needs of the university
• Providing the necessary facilities and equipment needed for the projects with the help of the relevant units
• Carrying out all matters related to concluding research contracts and taking action on their implementation and following up on payments to researchers from the relevant financial unit
• Cooperation and coordination between research activities of schools and various research units
• Carrying out all matters related to research (Grant), encouraging articles, etc. of the faculty members
• Carrying out studies related to sabbaticals and scientific trips of faculty members and graduate students

• Planning and coordination for holding seminars and scientific conferences at the university
• Carrying out the necessary studies in the field of performance evaluation and annual research activities of the university
• Planning and compiling relevant regulations for conducting research studies and necessary review to determine the research priorities of the university and provide the necessary report to the authorities
• Establishing the necessary internal and external coordination in matters related to the University Research Council
• Necessary supervision over the performance of assigned tasks to the experts of the relevant unit
• Supervising the University Publishing Council and following up on its approvals
• Holding workshops for professors and colleagues and following up on matters related to university research centers
• Carrying out matters related to intellectual and material property in the research affairs of the university
• Establishment of scientific-industrial cooperation committees with various organizations and industrial units
• Establishment of communication with industries and factories to sign contracts for scientific and research projects in order to communicate with industry
• Introducing the scientific, research and potential capabilities of Malayer University to industries
• Performing other tasks assigned by the superior authority, within the framework of duties

Duties of Research Experts at Malayer University
• Evaluating articles and entering the information of articles and their abstracts into the research system under the supervision of the research director
• Getting reports on the progress of university research activities and preparing an annual report
• Final review and approval of documents related to the academic settlement of faculty members
• Collecting research information and checking it and finalizing the research contract
• Getting reports on articles, printed books, and participation in domestic and foreign conferences
• Entering the information related to the evaluation of the information of all articles and their abstracts, books, research projects and dissertations of the university, to the research system under the supervision of the research director
• Carrying out training related to university professors and staff to become more familiar with research activities
• Coordinating for holding meetings and sending letters related to judging research projects and books, etc. and following them up
• Arranging the records of the Research Council and University Press
• Carrying out affairs related to the research system and updating it
• Inserting the latest announcements and regulations related to the research deputy on the system
• Coordination for holding Research Week Ceremonies and appreciation of top university researchers
• Reviewingthe documents submitted for participation of professors in domestic and foreign conferences, book judging and approval of documents and their archives
• Reviewingthe authoritative articles to encourage the submission of articles to the Deputy for Development
• Examining the documents for the contract of research projects and sending the documents related to the projects for judging and receiving the opinions of the judges and concluding the contract and then sending the documents to the Deputy for Development
• Establishing a regular archive for all research activities of faculty members of the university
• Other tasks assigned by the Director of Research Affairs of the university
