The facilities of this group include soil science laboratories No. 1 and No. 2, soil chemistry research laboratory, research farm and also a greenhouse unit.
Soil Laboratory No.1
This laboratory is provided for the senior students of this group in the fields of soil resources and land evaluation, soil physics, plant nutrition and soil biology.
Soil Laboratory No.2
This laboratory is provided for the practical units of specialized courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of soil science and engineering, as well as for MA students in water engineering, as well as service courses in other fields, and has desirable facilities. This lab has equipped with all the specialized devices and tools related to this field, including spectrophotometer, film photometer, autoclave, pH meter, conductivity meter, tensiometer, Casagrande, hydrometer and Munsell color chart, desiccators, stereoscope, as well as aerial maps and photos. It is related to different areas that the existence of these facilities is desirable, the possibility of performing all experiments related to specialized courses in this field, including determining soil texture, measuring soil and water elements including sodium, potassium, phosphorus, nitrate, sulfate, calcium, magnesium, It also measures water hardness, water alkalinity, soil salinity, lime, gypsum, and organic matter, and bacterial culture. Soil Chemistry Research Laboratory
This laboratory is used to conduct experiments related to senior students of soil sciences in the field of chemistry and soil fertility. The laboratory is equipped with specialized facilities and devices such as spectrophotometer,T.O C meter, flame photometer, turbidity meter, electric furnace, sonicator, shaker incubator and common laboratory devices such as centrifuge, shaker, oven, binary, pH meter, conductivity meter.Dr. Shahriyar Mahdavi is the supervisor and founder of this lab.
Soil Science and Engineering Department has a research farm and a unit of the faculty's research greenhouse that conducts field research work and water resources engineering, as well as practical units of specialized courses such as internships and skills training which was require an open space.
