A special program celebrating Student Day, marking December 7 (16 Azar), was held at Malayer University's Shahid Heydari Conference Center with enthusiastic student participation. The event created an atmosphere full of energy, solidarity, and student advocacy.
The ceremony was attended by the University President, the head of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office at the university, the Vice-Chancellor for Culture and Social Affairs, and a number of university officials, and drew a remarkably large and enthusiastic turnout of students.
Dr. Sayvand, the University President, marking and congratulating Student Day, spoke about the historical background of the occasion and expressed hope that the university would use all its capacities so that students could study in the best possible environment and build a bright future for themselves.
Addressing the students with the words "envision your future with hope," the University President said: focus on a positive and optimistic outlook toward tomorrow; your future is bright and positive, so cast aside despair and discouraging thoughts, and know that we stand beside you.
Referring to Malayer University's mission of nurturing an awakened and knowledgeable generation, Dr. Sayvand said the university is pursuing comprehensive development so that students can make the fullest use of educational, research, and welfare facilities, in order to record a good and lasting day in the history of this city and university.
The event's special guest, Dr. Seyed Yasser Jebraeili, Secretary-General of the New Islamic Civilization Party and faculty member of the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies, honored the memory of student martyrs and addressed the influential role of students in the country's social and political developments, and analyzed current economic issues.
In his remarks, Dr. Jebraeili stated that independence means freedom in all dimensions for a nation, and that a nation is free when it decides for itself regarding its interests and governance.
In another part of the ceremony, representatives of student organizations shared their views and concerns, creating a warm and energetic dialogue between students and officials — a valuable opportunity that showcased the dynamism and vitality of the academic community.
In the closing part of the program, a variety of cultural and artistic performances were held to wide student enthusiasm, lending the event a festive and joyful atmosphere.
